Welcome to my website. So much has been going on and I'm so sorry that I'm not very good with updating this site. So without further delay, let me bring you some very exciting news. The Patel family is now two members larger.
At 12:11 p.m. on April 19,Bharti Massi's son, my cousin,Manan and his wife Pinky added another little angel to our mix. Shivani Manan Patel came out at 7 pounds and 13.4 ounces, 20.5 inches in height and is absolutely adorable.
On April 21 Chandrakant Mama's daughter, my cousin,Meghna was married to Dr. Amar Rajadhyaksha. I hope to soon be getting some pictures from the wedding of my new cousin brother-in-law to post on this site. I hear nothing but good things about the good doctor. I want to send them all my best wishes for an amazing life together.
But also on a sad note,my dear sweet sweet mother had a bit of a fall at the airport in Detroit, Michigan on April 22 on her way back from the wedding. She broke three bones in her right foot and has been told to stay off her foot for at least the next six to eight weeks. That wouldn't be so bad if she still didn't have to take care of me.She is the strongest woman that I know and I'm proudto see how she's going through everything in stride.I really love her and appreciate and admire her so much for that.
Family tree.
Speaking of the size of our family, I finally got our family tree up on this site. It wasn't the .html version that I originally planned, but these in PDF format are just as cool. I've included pictures of family members and a little information about in-laws. These family trees allow us to see just how large our immediate family is and how far it actually branches out. Besides the whole educational point of making them, I guess I just want to show off what I'd been doing with all my free time. But if you're not impressed by the work, I'm going to have to ask that some of my computer savvy cousins come down here and help me with the programming stuff.
I really want to thank Dipesha, aka Pinku, for the huge amount of help she gave me in recording a lot of the information for our fathers' side of the family, and Chandrakant Maama and Arati for helping with my mother's side. But the information itself was given to me by just about every close relative that was available. I obviously couldn't have gotten even half of these trees made without everyone's input and assistance. The trees aren't completely finished, and they never will be as long as a family keeps growing. So I would really appreciate it if you can keep giving me more feedback so I can keep adding to them and branching them out even further.
I had to divide the trees into four groups based on the maternal and paternal sides of each of my parents. Two parents means for grandparents, and boy does that make for a huge family. Starting with my father, Chiman Patel's side of the family, I went as far back as his father, Gordhan's father, Jasung and mother, Manak. Click on the hyperlink to see the descendents of Jasung Patel. The line from my father's mother, Sharda's father, Dhura and mother, Jhavar's can be seen by clicking on the hyperlink, descendents of Dhura Patel.
My mother, Jaya Patel's side of the family starts with her father, Umed's father, Dhori and mother, Dahi. Their tree can be seen by clicking on the hyperlink, descendents of Dhori Patel. The line from my mother's mother, Lala's father, Deshai and mother, Hira can be seen by clicking on the hyperlink, descendents of Deshai Patel.
Syringomyelia.
A lot of people have been asking me about the latest research on my condition and especially in regards to stem cell research. I've added the latest information that I've gotten from the Internet to the syringomyelia tab, so check it out if you want.
My photos.
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! And guess what, more pictures! I want to thank those that let me steal some of their pictures and are allowing me to use them on this web site without my asking. Take a look at some of the new, and old, additions to my album. I really enjoy it when people write to me, and I get really thrilled when I get sent pictures. What do you expect? I don't get out much. Ha!Ha!
